Book Review Time:
So this is definitely one of my favorite series I discovered this year. The hype is real. Firstly, what I love about this series are the characters. Mia is very cool and unapologetic. She's doing what she thinks is right and discovering new things about her gift and herself along the way. I love that. The world and abilities aka the magic system is so unique and different. I love to see new kinds of gifts and world building in fantasy and this one is so good because you don't have the usual set up. Nevertheless all this world building can be kind of boring sometimes. Especially the first 100 pages of Nevernight had me doubting this series and thinking about DNFing it. But it was so worth to push through and see Mia meeting new people and having badass adventures. Especially since some very interesting and diverse characters are introduced along the way. Even though I prefer Nevernight to Godsgrave, the end of the second book surprised and shocked me and it is needless to say I want the third book NOW. That revelations guys. So good. I love all the turns and developments. It's so great and I love that most characters are not only good or bad but something in between. Did you read Nevernight/Godsgrave and what do you think about this series?
