when it comes to getting started, why haven’t you?
what stops you from taking that first step? what stands in your way? is it time? fear? lack of knowledge? intimidation? your kids? spouse? or just straight up complacency? do you realize those are excuses? that’s your comfort zone stopping you.
getting started is the hardest & sometimes scariest part.. for me, once i got over myself & came to terms that I was only making excuses because I had no idea what I was doing, where to start or how etc.. I realized how silly that was & all I had to do was a little research, ask a few questions & just do it lol. otherwise i was never going to learn & nobody was going to teach me- closed mouths don’t get fed 🤐 aaaand y’all know how i feel about food! lol
so what’s the biggest excuse that you turn to? what would happen if you stopped making excuses? can you imagine all the dopeness that awaits you?? stop standing in your own way.. #findyourdopeness 💪🏽✨

happy #mondayfunday my loves! 2nd workout of the day was groovy lol. i definitely was in a surplus of calories after my post-show feasting.. 😅😬 no regrets here lol, I ate good! but didn’t go overboard this tiiiime- i just had to put those babies to good use! i was excited to hit legs with that extra energy & wrapped it up with some HIIT. it def felt good to have those extra calories back in my system to fuel me through the workout.. 🤗
i hope you all crushed your day & made yourselves proud. crossed some tingz off that to-do list you been putting off, maybe crushed a goal or 2, or even just took the first step towards a bigger plan- packed your lunch instead of the drive-thru perhaps? 🙃 or maybe you finally started that cover letter for that job you been eyeing..!? 😏👀
whatever you did, way to go!!! you’re dope! it all starts with day one, now remember why you started. cuz there will be days that you struggle, that the motivation is nowhere to be found & your why, that discipline you’ve built will be the only thing to get you through that bump in the road. see it through. keep it moving. each small step adds up! 😉✨
listen, i’d be lying if I said I didn’t have my eye on that 1st place spot.. I mean, it is a competition after all- is it not..? 😏
i wanted to be better, & i was just that. i was my best in that very moment. i came from not even placing in the top 5 in any of my 3 classes at my first show just 6 weeks ago in NPC, to taking home 2nd place in both of my classes in OCB.. what an amazing accomplishment. im dumb proud. a poppin glow up if you ask me.. 🤗✨ butttt, the eye of the tiger.. this only made me hungrier. this only showed me that i wasn’t ready for that 1st place just yet. life has a sense of humor.. she gave me a taste, to awaken me. of course it wasn’t gonna be that easy..
it’s time to dig deeper, to push harder, to continue challenging each & every one of what i ever beloved to be my limits. apparently i have a whole lot more to give.. there’s another level of me that I haven’t even tapped into yet, & that both excites me & scares me lol. it’s unknown territory, but im not alone. with my coach @inky_all_natural_olympian leading the way, im confident in the beast we are about to unleash. he has a vision, believes in mine, & sees my potential- my dopeness even when I question it. you can’t beat that kind of support. & with all my @2ndlookfitness family & the rest of my tribe- all of you guys, I know i have the best around me. greatness is the only option! no matter how many times I might fall..
