We sent the Kirbys to South Africa for their honeymoon, where they spent the first half of their trip in and around bustling Cape Town, and the second half exploring a series of private game reserves. After a couple days in the city, they did as fashionable Cape Tonians do and escaped the city for a weekend in the sleepy town of Hermanus, an enclave of beach homes perched on the rugged South African coastline. They stayed in Birkenhead House, a Liz Biden-deigned hideaway that feels like staying at a friend's chic beach home, thanks to not only the eclectic yet timeless decor, but also the custom nature of the property - guests can tuck into a private breakfast, lunch, or dinner anywhere they'd like, whether it’s next to the relaxing pool, overlooking the ocean, or in the privacy of their own suite, which might be exactly what’s needed after spending a day surfing the waves or walking along the beautiful coastline.
Lemon-Raspberry Madeleines. This recipe uses a full-sized madeleine pan, fills it with an airy lemon-flavoured madeleine batter, sticks a fresh raspberry in the middle, and then pumps that raspberry full of delicious lemon curd. Then I dust that delicious madeleine with icing sugar. A delicious and easy recipe for Lemon- curd and raspberry stuffed madeleines. These Lemon- Raspberry Madeleines are fantastic! 🍋🍋🍋
When the cold rainy season arrives, all we want is a yummy bowl of hot soup or BBQ Grill with a personal hotpot. 😍 It’s great that @raachasuki now has a variety of new menus from Fish Filament, Chicken sausage, Cheese Tofu, Jamur King Oyster, and Jamur Snow White!! 🧀

Hi everyone, I would really appreciate if you can check out my photography project on Instagram at @portraitpassport. “Ritipanna (the Sinhalese term for "stilt fishing") is a traditional fishing method that was once practiced by most fishermen along the southern coast of Sri Lanka. One pole is nailed securely onto the seabed and the other is placed like a crossbar and acts as a plank for the fishermen to sit on. While "ritipanna" is not as popular as it once was, there are still fisherman who use this method today. With more sophisticated fishing methods being introduced over the years, "ritipanna" has now become more of a tourist attraction than an efficient way to catch and sell fish. Fortunately (and unfortunately), some of these fishermen now earn more through tourism than they would've in the fish trade. Normally they are used to having their photos taken without ever getting to see them, so they were ecstatic to have a few copies of their portraits for once.” | Unawatuna, Sri Lanka
You know the travel accounts that have really dream-like edits where the colors and saturation have been altered a lot? (I'm not talking about boosting color, more like changing it all together to be a dreamy rose colored look) Sometimes I think maybe I should try something like that but honestly...if a place is really that beautiful, I just have a hard time making it look like something different. I love color and I like to see what places actually look like. What do you all think?

I took this photo in August 2014 while cruising in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. If I can recall briefly, I think I was hanging out at the balcony area, and out of nowhere, I started to see the massive rainbow trying to peek through the sky.
🌈 Little did I know, it wasn't just one but TWO RAINBOWS paralleling one another. That was the first time in my life that I've seen such unique yet beautiful rainbows. .
🌈 I don't know any mythological signs or anything like that, but I knew deep down that seeing the two rainbows will mark as the beginning of something new. And I was absolutely right on that. .
🌈 You don't have to wait until you stumble across the two rainbows for any luck. I am a solemn believe that we have the power to control our faith. It starts in your mind and heart. .
🌈 My colleague said one time over lunch that when I first joined the company, I was filled with so much positivity, but now, that kind of optimism seems to fade away a little by little over time. And that's something I'm working on at the moment. It was a wake up call for me to really think through the mindset game. There have been good and bad days at work, but at the end of the day, positivity wins.
