Another one from that crazy waterfall day in Maui with @chelseakauai. -
When we first got to this waterfall, it was still pretty dark in the canyon. but then as we spent some time there, the sun rose over the top of the cliff wall, and shot down towards us, illuminating the canyon in this magical golden light. -
Sometimes all it takes for a situation to change is just a little patience, both in shooting crazy waterfalls and in life. Maybe you’re in a season of life that is pretty dark... feeling like there is no end in sight. But I encourage you to try to stay positive... to have faith that the moment will come when the darkness subsides.
So don’t lose hope in this, but rather look forward to what’s to come. And while you wait, seek out community, people to be there with you... encouraging you through it all. -
For we are better together than we are on our own. -
Have a wonderful day friends 😊
10/10 would adventure with these two any day.
Today we got up early and hit the road, set on hiking Pickens Nose in NC. Within a few miles of the trailhead, the road up became so icy we decided the only safe option was to turn around. But, in the next moment, we hit a really slick patch and ended up badly stuck in a ditch. Right as we were between trying to make an emergency call and hiking back down to the ranger station, some absolute heroes came along and somehow completely saved us with just a Jeep and my kayak straps. Ah, there are some really good people out there in the world and we were totally reminded of that today. Here’s to still getting some rainy waterfall time in and being home safely with ginger cider.
The northern lights made a unexpected surprise last night. I didn’t have my cameras on me for the first explosion but there was whites pinks purples with a hint of reds out. Went down to grab my camera and they died down heavily, but still able to get some bangers.
With all that has occurred over the course of several months - I’ve been mulling over and truly understanding, just what the effects of healing oneself entails. Internally and externally.
Understanding that healing is not a quick fix, and any healing that is will do more harm than good.
We have a limit to what we are capable of digesting. Healing is a process and it takes time. One must endure the natural process of learning to heal themselves through awareness.
As much as we may think, we indeed are not set up for failure. The universe provides the tools and resources needed to get through any block, as long as we remain conscious and observant beings.
I hosted a @mtnchicks snowshoe hike today at Mount Baker, and if you can't tell, all of us ladies (dog included) had a blast! There's something about the outdoors that really bonds people together! We also think we could win the most colorful snowshoe team award! 🥇I hope you all had an amazing Sunday as well! Where did you go!? #mtnchicks#mtnchicksdoitbetter
👀 out! New TRX group coach is on the block //// It’s been a slow fitness journey since I began pursuing this path, because of other aspirations, goals, and dreams that naturally entered the linear path of getting my PT cert. But slowly & surely, it’s coming together! A bit more time to put all the puzzle pieces together. Can’t wait to get out there with this ☝️
