Wanted to put this up for the longest time.
This is my transformation babble. 🙈
So, the first picture is probably 2012 when i was in my college first year. I used to think I’m thin or healthy but never fat. When i first started college i was probably on the thinner side and then eating all kinds of food lead me to gain weight. I was totally comfortable in my skin then as well but by the time 3 years passed and i had reazlied i had gained a lot of weight so much that i don’t even have pictures of then which shows my actual weight.
Somehow, in my last year and after my college everyone had jobs and i was still waiting for my offer(engineer struggles) so i started gyming to get out my frustrations and getting out of the house. It has been more than 2 years and i have finally come to a place where I am happy with the way i look. So, the pic on the right is just last weekend(2017)
How did i lose the weight? Well, at first i didn’t. After a while i tried a lot of things.. zumba, aerobics , yoga with gymming but nothing affected me that much. After that i met my instructor and started circuit training and that showed a lot of progress. However, this year i had somehow come to a plateau and was trying really hard to juggle work and gym and despite my efforts not able to lose weight on my tummy.
Recently, i have started running 4 kms everyday and then circuit training for 40 mins or weighted training.
So this was my babble. Thanks for reading if you got till the end(you rock). If you are trying to lose weight and not going anywhere i would suggest research, try different activities and figure what works for you and change your diet. Also, sleep and take rest days. Working out everyday might work if you are preparing for a competition but if you are trying to lose weight take a rest day that is how your muscles will heal. If you don’t see results at first don’t give up.
I was fortunate enough to pass by Walt Disney's star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame last week. He is one of my all time favorite innovators and entrepreneurs. Did you know his business idea of Disneyland was rejected over 300 times by bankers who didn't believe in his idea?! What if he didn't try one more time? There would be no Disneyland today if he gave up and with that being said, I wanted to share one of my favorite quotes with you all: "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." You'll never know if your dreams can be a reality unless you try. I'm also pretty sure nobody wants to grow old and look back on their life with that "what if" moment and regret not giving it a shot.
