2017 has been the most tumultuous year of my life so far, and trust me, I’ve had many! Moving to New Mexico at 18 alone from England, transferring after my freshman & sophomore year of college and changing states every time. 2017 was a year where I learned to believe in and respect myself enough to take myself away from situations that were not growing me as a person. This was a huge step in my life! ✦
Starting The 10 and having the belief to go it alone, again, was not easy. If there is anything I have learned, it is to chase your dreams and to chase a life and career that excites you and is able to keep you motivated and striving to be better every day. My biggest accomplishment of 2017 was learning to believe in myself, live my best life and not worry about how it looks from the outside. I know in my heart everything I am doing is out of a true passion to nurture, mentor and help to develop my players and the soccer culture in America as a whole. I am committed to learning and bettering myself every day to give the players everything I didn’t have growing up as an aspiring soccer player in 🏴 . ✦
I want to thank everyone that has contributed on this journey! To every player, the families, those I’ve met through social media and those in person! All of you following! You are appreciated. This journey we are on to develop the stars of tomorrow is only just beginning and we have big plans for 2018 to make The 10 Academy even better. Stay tuned. 💫

Are Your Hip Flexors REALLY Tight? ▪️Hip flexors tight? Are they really? To check and see, try performing the Thomas Test. I don’t know Thomas, but it’s an effective test to determine if the hip flexors have adequate length. ▪️Perform as shown in the video. If the thigh can reach the table, the knee is at 90 degrees, and the thigh is in line with the body, then your hip flexors aren’t tight. ▪️As you can see in the picture on the right, the knee doesn’t achieve 90 degrees. Big Jorgs is a 6am client of mine who has recently become a father. He has since found himself in a battle to ensure his daughter Mila grows up wearing red, white, and blue.
I had to do my bit and have her kitted out with a scarf and footy.
Jorgs is comitted to training despite his life being thrown somewhat into chaos of recent times, so we have sorted him out with a program that he can do at home if he struggles to find time for the gym.

🙋♂️ Who could eat an entire row of Double Stuf Oreos without blinking? I know I can because I’ve done it a million times. Give me a glass a milk and it’s lights out on those bad boys.

👀 A serving size is actually just two cookies, so the numbers above are for two servings. And that doesn’t include the milk! So, listen, I’m not telling you to not eat Oreos. I love them and cherish them and think they’re delicious. And if you told me I had to follow a diet where I never ate them again, I’d tell you to get out of my face.
🤚 But we do need to be aware of what we’re eating and the fact that four cookies has 14g of fat and 42g of carbs let’s us know that eating an entire row better be a veeeeeeery rare occurrence. So, eat your Oreos is they’re your think, but keep them in check and enjoy 2-4 of them, know what it does to your daily numbers, and keep on track. If you do end up crushing that entire row, don’t sweat it and just get right back on track. —

Yuuk Sempatkan diri berolahraga di pagi hari, walaupun hanya 10 hingga 15 menit saja, dan ga perlu keluar rumah kok, cukup di rumah saja untuk yang ga punya waktu banyak ke gym ato fitness centre. Berusaha mulai memilih makanan yang sehat serta tidur yang cukup.

Yesterday we did 4 singles with 300 on squat. Which was a previous goal of his.

Last but not least to my @Kinstretch students who attended class last Tuesday👋 check this out with the different setup for PAILs/RAILs... this might help conceptualize what we are looking for.
How well do you extend at the hip? 🤔
More often than not, I find most people I assess limited in hip extension after performing a CARs evaluation on them.
1️⃣Hip Extension PAILs/RAILs with Valslide: By using a @valslide, I’m able to maintain contact with the ground while contracting the entire trail leg into the floor during my PAILs contraction. With the RAILs contraction, I’m trying to make my foot as light as possible while sliding it out, maintaining tension throughout the proximal hip region.
2️⃣Eccentric Neural Grooving with Valslide: After performing isometrics, I like to perform eccentric drills to try to build strength in the newly acquired ranges to try to help make them “stick”. With these “splits” (working my way to be like @hunterfitness 😝), my job is to slowly control the lead leg out while contracting the trail leg into hip extension. At maximal range of motion, I drive the lead leg heel back into the floor to pull me back in.
I’ve been mixing these two drills in a lot lately and they’re feeling great. Still plenty of room for progress, obviously, but the results thus far are promising. #controlyourself#cspfamily
