Better to cultivate discipline than to rely on motivation. Force yourself to do things. Force yourself to get out of bed and practice. Force yourself to work. Motivation is fleeting and it’s easy to rely on because it requires no concentrated effort to get. Discipline is reliable. The question isn’t how to keep yourself motivated, it’s how to train yourself to work without it.
Really feeling the shoulder pain when performing a Bench Press?
A common misconception of benching is that the weight should move straight up and down. Try tucking your elbows in, covering your armpits and think pushing the weight away from yourself.
Always a classic from Joe Duncan!
Love this strategy for getting organized, minimizing stress and maximizing productivity!
Paralysis by analysis. It’s when you overthink so much that you can’t do anything. By planning ahead, you can focus on your list and knock it all out 💪🏼 #Repost@before5am (@get_repost)
You guys know the drill by now...
Sunday Night is the best time to set up the week ahead and get clear on what you need to accomplish to move closer to those big dreams & goals.
Take a look at your life goals and plan out the big things you can do this week with your body, diet, work, business ideas, finances and relationships.
Break each day down and have at least 3 big things on each of the days you absolutely MUST get done.
It's also a great time to set up your playlist of 5 songs that motivate you and select a few motivational videos from YouTube that will get you fired up and excited to get out of bed and make big things happen.
Have an amazingly powerful and successful week and if you set it up right you will be half way there.
Oh and one more thing... Set your alarm for before 5am!
“I don’t eat past _______ because I don’t want my body to store everything as fat.”
While there is some truth to this, your body doesn’t actually know time. Let that sink in..
You can eat as LATE as you want... You just need to make sure you eat the right nutrients when it’s late.
The reason you hear this line so much is because of what people eat late at night. I know for me, the later it gets..... the less self control I have. My inner fat kid comes out and will eat ANYTHING.
My advice is to avoid carbs later on at night. Since you’re most likely not active at these times, you’re less likely to utilize and burn through these carbs. You can however eat protein.
My favorite bed time snack is Level-1 and 8oz of liquid egg whites. I mix these 2 and pound this every night before bed. A sustained assimilation protein will feed your body with a steady flow amino acids while you’re sleeping. This is beneficial because your body tends to go catabolic (breaking down muscle) while you’re sleeping. Save your gains people. Eat some protein before bed. #s2faction#dominateyourlife
