New watch from @the365movement brings Scripture to the front every hour!
Today it’s one of God’s coolest MATH equations in James 5:16
Confession + Prayer = Healing!
I actually dig this watch in a lot of ways. Great idea, great execution, great design, great functionality, great feel, great look. It’s pretty much GREAT all around.
I’m all about getting Scripture into your heart, and this is another awesome way to do that. Hit up @the365movement and take advantage of another way to get Scripture deep into your soul!
The things we can do as the year ends:
Thank God for what you have. Recharge spiritually. Rest in the presence of God through worship and prayer. Revive your passion for serving God in the church. Receive fresh direction from God for the future. Believe that God will guide you always.
“The Lord spoke 💬 to me with a strong hand and instructed 📖 me that I should not follow 👣 the way of these people 🌍: Do not call a conspiracy everything that people call a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear 😱, and do not be afraid...
Instead, make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies✨ holy in your life. He is the one you should revere ✝️. He is the one you should fear 🙏🏻...”
Returning back to Genesis!! This book reminds me deeply of God's amazing works. Especially this scripture, where he created the Heavens and the Earth. It's a nice reminder that if God can create the universe, then there really is not anything He can't do!!! .
This Sunday was special: "This is the Lord's doing and it is wonderful in our eyes". I learnt this: "I'm just a donkey"
We have a morning discipleship class eveyday at my home. And all the disciples shared from the epistle of James on Sunday. I am blessed to see the Lord teach through them. I was amazed at the work of the Lord. I am so thankful that the Lord chose me to serve him and use me. "We are all his workmanship". #disciples#bible#biblestudy#calvarychapelindia#james#thankful#jesus#bibleverse#church#discipleship
When trouble comes between you and your neighbor what do you do?? Do you hold your peace or fight back? Do you keep your words to yourself or do you defend yourself? The understanding man holds peace. It is much harder to keep quiet and not react in a negative way than to allow your emotions run free. Sometimes you even end up apologizing for something that you didn't even do in order to keep peace. That is tough to do. But it is necessary. Yes, you may have "lost" the battle, but it is better to lose a battle than to lose your love for your brother and sister in Christ. Instead of talking back or arguing, treat them with love and compassion. Do not let your emotions take a hold of you. Your emotions will destroy your relationships with the body of Christ. Instead, look onto God's word for guidance when these tough situations arise!
Further Study v22: And he that shall swear by heaven,.... As the Jews were wont to do in common, but did not look upon such an oath as obligatory on them; See notes on Matthew 5:34, though such an one
sweareth by the throne of God; for heaven is God's throne, where he sits, and, in an eminent manner, displays the glory of his majesty:
and by him that sitteth thereon, by God himself. Thus swearing by anything that has any relation to God, is implicitly swearing by him; and therefore ought to be considered as binding, as if he was expressed in it; since an appeal cannot be made to things inanimate, nor indeed to any creature, but to God, the searcher of hearts.
In Summary: By heaven, the great temple of God, hallowed by the presence of God enthroned there. The sum of the whole is: Every oath is by God; hence make no distinctions between oaths; ‘swear not at all’ (Matt. 5:34). These verses really refer, not only to swearing, but to truthfulness, in word and act; they forbid those false distinctions used to palliate the crime of lying. #godsword#kingjamesversion#God#socialmedia#instagram#christian#jesus#christ#bible#bibleverse#verseoftheday#biblestudy
Tonight I was reminded of why we undergo suffering. I currently know of 4 people who are actively battling cancer. These people are from different walks of life but one thing they all have in common is that they each are experiencing the most discomfort they have and probably ever will experience during this portion of their life's journey.
Job suffered tremendously. Even though God considered him to be highly favored, it appears that God allowed him to suffer immensely. Without knowing the reasons behind why God was allowing this to happen, Job felt persecuted. Through it all, he remained faithful because he knew that God was faithful and there must have been a reason behind his suffering that he just couldn't see.
This is so true for our everyday lives. These cancer victims have all shown me their strength amidst their suffering. I have witnessed that hope rises high during suffering and we lean most on God when we suffer. I was reminded tonight that our goal in life is not to achieve our own comfort, but rather our ultimate goal is to live a life in and for Christ Jesus.
Christ suffered and died on a cross for me. There was true purpose to His suffering. That alone gives me the courage and hope to bear whatever comes my way.
Psalms 51:2. Sin contaminates us,makes us filthy and unclean, and separates us from God. Since we are all sinners and are born with a sinful nature, we all need to be cleansed and purified from our sins. Since we know we do not need unconfessed sins in our lives, and we need to be cleansed from our sins, we often try to clean ourselves and remove our sins by doing good deeds, following the rules and laws, and being nice people. No matter how good we are or what we do, we can never do enough to wash ourselves clean of our sins. The only way that sin's stains can be washed away from us is through the blood of Jesus Christ. His blood and sacrifice is the only thing that is pure enough to completely wash away our sins and make us clean and righteous again. No matter how badly we are stained and dirty from sin, we can be washed cleaned and forgiven if we believe in Jesus and accept salvation and forgiveness that He paid for with His blood. When we are washed in the blood of Jesus, His blood covers all of our sins and pays for our forgiveness. Whenever you sin, confess and admit your sins to God and repent from them. Ask God for forgiveness for your sins in Jesus's name and ask that He cleanse you and wash your sins away so that you may be pure again.
➕Why are we so fearful of change that we k n o w is going to be good for us ?
Is it because we are afraid of what others may think of us when we start to show the effort of bettering our lives? ➕Are we afraid of leaving the comfort zone , even if it's an unhealthy situation?
You need to ask yourself what is holding you back from making some significant changes that will better your life . . . ❓
do we even know how to change Do you know that the power of change comes from the A C T of effort towards acting like the person that you eventually want to be like which results in daily habits which then turns into a lifestyle shift and a permanent change,
many fall away from bettering their life because they feel like they're acting " f a k e "
like they're not acting like " them selves"
we tend to believe change is supposed to happen smoothly and if it doesn't it's not supposed to happen
when in contrary, change is a battle
more so in your mind
a battle between the person who you are currently & the one you see yourself reaching for
now this isn't to be mistaken for trying to be like somebody else but instead knowing who you are ;
loving who you are as a person, but knowing that you want better for your life
So that the quality of your life is increased and others around you see this and it can eventually become A ripple effect . .
for example💡 it's like sleeping,💤
we have to act like we are sleeping even though we are awake
but we TRUST that if we ACT or "f a k e" sleep then eventually we will fall asleep
if you believe you will achieve ;
that's not a lie
don't believe the false accusations your mind will tell you when you start Making a new habit
you just have to make yourself used to it
don't fear that
don't fight it
Just endure it
trust that you can and will do it. .
