Beachgoers in @eyrepeninsula are pretty spoiled for choice when it comes to idyllic spots to plonk a beach umbrella. But those staying in @port_lincoln need not look further than the crystal-clear waters of Whalers Way, as @takeinoutside found on her recent escapades! Not only does this place offer some of the most stunning coastal scenery in SA – it’s also a prime spot to put your 4WD through its paces, with around 14 kilometres of track passing through windswept bushland and clifftops that drop into pounding surf and tranquil coves – all under the watchful eye of kangaroos and emus! If you’re in the area, it’s worth packing lunch in the esky for a big beachside BBQ at Groper Bay just down the road. Once you’ve bagged out on snags, sand and sunsets, rest your weary head with a waterfront view at the @marina_hotel back in town! Happily stumbled upon the Little Penguin Colony on the Melbourne Pier. Pretty awesome last bird to have seen on our 9 weeks in Australia, bringing our Oz species total to 336. We're such bird nerds...and proud of it!💙🐧
🖤Found this lil' slice of history yesterday ... 🖤 My dad - bottom right of this snap (doing the dangerous work) aged 19, training drills in the Territorial Army. Reckon this deserves a feature on @historyphotographed 📷 Circa 1967 #armyreserve
You know… the airport is the only place you can walk around with no shoes, a glazed look on your face, and sleep on the benches and no one judges you.

Hell’s Gate is a spectacular crevice in the Noosa Headland where you can witness epic waves crashing against the rock face. A windy, slightly overcast day makes it all the more dramatic. Just over the rock face you can see the picturesque Alexandria Bay.
Patchwork Paddocks on a Big Sky.
From the paddock just eaten (and then mown) to the one ready to eat in a few days, to the one ready to be cut for hay, a multi-tonal patchwork of hues emerges. Set against a big azure sky today, with the treeline marching off into the distance, the result is a pretty spectacular place to call home.
Change is afoot. More detail in the coming days...
